Conquering mountains

Travis Pastrana is a pretty incredible character. He is the one-man band of the extreme sports world, winning championships and X Games gold medals in supercross, motocross, freestyle motocross, and rally racing. When not competing, he throws himself out of planes with no parachute and tries to break as many records as possible.

His latest record to break was to conquer Mount Washington behind the wheel of his race-prepped Subaru WRX STI. Mount Washington is the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at 6,288 ft and Travis’ aim was to blast up it as fast as possible. His target to beat was six minutes and 42 seconds set in 1998 by Frank Sprongl driving an Audi Quattro. This is how he got on.
