Oi! Mini and Mito, move over

After you have let your eyes adjust for a bit after seeing those orange wheels, you may be able to see the new Citroen DS3-R. This will be Citroen’s first hot hatch for a while, after hitting a bit of a lull after the Saxo VTR and C2 VTR. But this is even more special becuase it will be the street version of Sebastien Loeb’s new rally car.

The street DS3-R specs are a bit sketchy at the moment but it is rumoured to have been dropped 15mm and to be running a 1.6-liter turbo four cylinder with around  200 horsepower, all going through a six-speed manual.

People should welcome the DS3-R with open arms at the Geneva motor show,  as it looks great and the French need another decent hot hatch instead of the Clio Renault Sport. However I hope that the orange can be swapped for white or grey.
